The Navigators UK
The Navigators is a Christan charity working in over 100 countries, which is committed to help individuals and communities of believers to know Christ and make him known. Much of their work in the UK is with university-age students and recent graduates.
We won a competitive tender to rebrand The Navigators UK and relaunch their website, which wasn't attractive to their student audience. They also needed an extranet to link the reps around the UK and provide a central location for files and resources and discussion.
What we did
The first step was to develop the new brand identity for The Navigators UK. Focusing on the sail which has long been used to identify the organisation, we updated the identity in close consultation with them.
We built the website using the open source SilverStripe Content Management System, which gives the staff great flexibility and full control over updates. As part of the extranet all reps can manage pages assigned to them on the website. A forum, spam-proofed contact and comment forms, user-editable pages and easy addition of new resources completed the site.
The website has been very warmly received, and has generated additional contact and support.
